Business, the trade of value for money in today’s world. It has come a long way I presume. Perhaps it had been like this for a long time, but it’s now something that allows greater things to be achieved from the great intentions that would contribute so much more with business.
Business allows you to bring your good intentions farther and give so much more to the world than you could ever without it. It allows you to magnify your giving power, to increase the amount of value you can give to the people that tread your way and create a sense of fulfillment and greatness that is more than what you would ever achieve alone. Instead of helping just 1 person, you can now help millions and bring so much value to all of them; value that is more than just materialism.
Business is about giving value - Happiness, Security, Wealth, Satisfaction, Fulfillment and Anything that makes the life of others better, others referring to customers and prospects. The great feeling of contributing to something beyond yourself is fulfilling to say the least, and it can be one of the most rewarding experiences you will ever have. This is where the true rewards lay.
…but it is also about allowing others to give you back what you deserve. So, never think for a moment that getting money out of it is a bad thing. In fact, it is quite the opposite; when you deprive someone of the chance to return you something that he or she thinks you deserve so much for what you have given to him or her. Both can truly be satisfied when you make this magnificent trade where both parties will simply receive good and only good feelings.
Always value the product based on the customer’s impression of it and not yours. No matter how much you put into a certain product or service, if it only seems like an entity of lower value to your customer than what you perceive it to be, go with the lower value. In business, it is all about your customer. However, it is not unethical to have your marketing efforts geared towards letting your clients know that you put much work into it, and justify your price; as long as it will make the customer happy to return you what he or she thinks you deserve. Remember, it is always about satisfying the customer based on his or her perspective
But…
Others will value you only after you value yourself. If no one else knows how valuable your product or service is, they won’t know how much you deserve. You must value yourself, and preferably based on your customer’s perceived value, but their perceived value has to be created by you sometimes. In fact, many times, you are the decider. If you reward yourself more, you will eventually be able to give back more, so don’t be afraid to value yourself high, and very high. It will only help you to grow and move further, to a point where you might never have foresaw, to a point of greatness. Sometimes, it is necessary to set higher prices before the customers will treasure and appreciate your product or service more, and that in turn can increase the amount of value they get from it; because they believe they will get more from it and they will receive more because of that very belief.
